2 months!

Charlie and Adella hit 2 months yesterday!  I was a little more successful with my photo shoot this time, even capturing a few smiles.  Be warned, there are a lot of pictures!  I had a hard time picking out just a few favorites.  I just love all their different facial expressions.   For their two month celebration they got to go to the doctor, that's why you can see the bandaids.   The doctor proclaimed them to be perfect just like always!  He was very shocked when I told him they are only waking up once a night to eat.   He himself has twins and didn't think it was very fair that they are already doing that for us (its been over a week of them doing this so we fell very lucky!).  Most nights we put them down around 8-8:30 and they might wake up around midnight, but a pacifier is usually all they need to go back to sleep.  They will then sleep until about 4 and want to eat.   After that they will sleep until 7-8 generally.   The doctor said well that won't happen tonight because of their shots.  He told us to give them tylenol every 4-6 hours for the next 24 hours.  We gave them one dose (not even as much as he said too) because they were very unhappy before there last feeding.  Well, they fell right to sleep and didn't wake up AT ALL until 4:00.  They ate and went back to sleep until 8!!! Not once did they wake up in between their feedings!    We feel pretty lucky!  As tempting as it might be, we promise we won't be giving them tylenol every night!

So besides sleeping well here is what else they are up to at 2 months.

If you were paying attention to their weights, you noticed that Charlie has almost caught up to Adella!  I'm pretty sure Adella is carrying the extra 3 oz in her cheeks!!
They are the same length
And Charlie's head is slightly larger.
I tried super hard to get both of them to smile at the same time - but that's pretty impossible!

We just love these two!!

Smiles!

We've been getting some great smiling going on around here the last week.   Adella has been the first and most predictable with her grins.   We are able to get her to actually smile in reaction to our smiles and other stimulus too.  I've tried super hard to get it on camera and was able to get a little bit on video because I knew the grandparents would want to see!      Also I know the sound is weird on some and that some are sideways... I obviously don't know how to work the camera very well yet!!  Sorry, I guess I just need more practice!

Charlie is right behind Adella with his smiles, hopefully soon I can get him on camera too!!

Just hanging out

This video isn't all that exciting, I'm mostly posting it for Grandma and Grandpa.  These two were actually having a good time "playing" with each other the other day.  Usually when I lay them down on their play mat they only last a couple minutes.  This day they "played" with each other for a good 20 minutes! (Don't worry this video is not 20 minutes!)

Put up your hands!

Apparently this is normal, but it still cracks me up every time I see either of the babies sleeping with their hands in the air.  Sometimes it looks like Adella is waiting for her nails to dry!

Charlie and Adella

Most of you have already seen these pictures on facebook, but I jut got my digital copies and wanted to make sure they were recorded here!  I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at these photos!  I just love them!

It Happens

That's right.  Poop.  It happens. And with newborns it happens A LOT!  And unfortunately we are already experiencing our fair share of blowouts which means poop on clothes.    Fortunately my sister in law recommended an AMAZING product to get rid of those tough stains.  So in case any of my mommy friends haven't discovered this for themselves I wanted to share.
Its called Fels Naptha.  You can get it at Walmart in the Laundry aisle and its only 97 cents!  This is seriously good stuff - it even got out stains that had already made it through the washer and dryer!
