My good friend Mary was here visiting so I enlisted her help getting some pictures of ME with the babies since I am always on the other side of the Camera.
My months are starting to run together it seems, but this month they both learned how to pull themselves up to a standing position (though they often struggle getting back down). They have started to do very small side to side walking movements while holding onto something. Not very often though thank goodness as I am SO not ready for them to be walking. They both crawl awesome and can fully crawl up the step in our living room, they can also get down OK, though if the step was bigger we would have problems I think. They are both sleeping through the night again most nights - Adella STILL likes to be swaddled. I don't know what we are going to do when she gets too tall for her swaddling wrap! Charlie still uses a pacifier to go to sleep but doesn't need it any other time. They have started to really enjoy books - especially if they have flaps to flip!
Adella's current funny quirk is her 'o' face and 'oh' sound - she still is obsessed with her feet and back crawls too. Charlie has recently started sucking on his lips - I think he likes the sound it makes.
Adella still LOVES food! Charlie likes it but loses interest fast. They like everything we have given them (with the exception of the Avocado that Charlie gagged on). I don't remember what new foods they have had, but most of them have been in blends anyway. Right now they really like anything that has pear in it. They can pick up cereal puffs and I can also roll tiny banana pieces in crushed cereal and they can pick those up to eat. I like that they like to be independent eaters! Adella can also use those little pouches and suck almost all of it out by herself. Charlie doesn't really get it, but he isn't quite the foodie she is so he probably just doesn't care to work that hard! I think he still prefers his bottles mostly.
I am super excited for it to start cooling off (it's October and still over 100! Good grief) so we can go on walks. They LOVE being outside and I need the exercise!!! I would love a double Bob jogging stroller so I could run with them, but for now walking will have to do!
We just LOVE these guys!
