Not to be outdone by his sister, Charlie figured out how to crawl up the steps the day after Adella did.

So now we can't leave ANYTHING on that step within sight or reach.    If there is nothing there, they don't try to crawl up it, not even to try to get at us.  But if they see something they can reach for they go for it!  I used to leave my shoes right there because if I wore them into the living room they would try to chew on them, now I have to leave them even further away!

When you have a laundry basket!

I mean seriously, how much fun does THAT look?  Best toy ever!   What I am most grateful for though is that she figured out how to get out, on her own.  Didn't want to deal with THAT meltdown!

Charlie wasn't really 'into' (haha, get it?) the whole laundry basket thing.  But he didn't mind watching.

Oh and chasing the camera, that's really his favorite.

And flashing me those EYES.

I think I'll keep him.

Challenge: Send a card

When was the last time you sent someone a card?  Not for a birthday or Christmas or any other special holiday.  But just because.  Maybe to tell them they are seriously awesome?   Probably you should do it!   I was prompted to send a card to one of our Young Women last week, I'm glad I did because it was fun to make and she reported it made her smile!  Exactly what I was hoping for!

Mesmerizing

One morning when Adam was taking care of the babies, he had left the room to dispose of diapers and when he came back it was completely quiet (not normal!).  Luckily, they weren't getting into any trouble, they were just mesmerized by the moving blue box on the TV!  

Reminds me of an episode of the office.

Um, I guess this is comfortable???

I found Charlie sleeping in the swing like this one day.  Crazy crazy kid.  His arm was slung over the side and  his face is all squished up.  

He was OUT though, I think I eventually had to wake him up to eat because it was getting so late!

Adella's trick

Adella has a funny new trick.   She likes to put things between her feet and hold them there.  It's really funny.   I am not sure why she does it, but she does it ALL the time and it's definitely on purpose.  She will put stuff there and just grip it with her feet till it falls out, and then she does it again!

I can't help it!

Bedtime fun

Sometimes these kids are so dang cute at night that it's hard to put them to bed!   Adella can get in a super giggly mode and will laugh at everything (or in most cases nothing)!   One night they were talking and laughing at each other, of course by the time I got the camera they stopped, but I still got some of the giggles on tape.   We aren't doing ANYTHING to make her laugh, she just does it unprovoked!

More walking

We had a few days of rare 'cool' weather last week.   And by cool I mean it didn't hit 100 degrees (only like 98 or 99).   So we went for a walk.  I CAN'T WAIT for fall when we can go on walks every day cause these guys love it!

OK, Charlie doesn't look like he loves it, but that's because he is so relaxed.

Charlie likes to kick, A LOT, when he gets in bed.  I think he likes how the mattress bounces when he does it!

This poses a future problem - how in the world am I going to punish them when they think going to the corner is the most fun?   What do I say, go play in the center of the room with all your toys?   Sheesh.

Sunday Fun Version 8.12.12

Again, sorry this is backwards (my usual routine is to post a week behind so I upload a whole week's worth of pictures at a time, just makes it easier for me!)   Here are the Sunday pics from a couple weeks ago.

I LOVED Charlie in this shirt!  Yes it's purple and I don't care, he can pull it off!   His pants were too long so they had to be rolled up.  His 3-6 month pants are too small but 6-9 month are HUGE on him.   

I save $210.50!

I know most of you saw this, but my mom isn't on facebook and I wanted her to see this!   I spent just over $61.00 for all this and save $210.50!   Sometimes couponing is so much fun!

The receipt was soooo long!    

And these guys helped put stuff away.   Well mostly they helped by not screaming while we did it!
