Waiting for my new niece!

The quilt is all finished and just waiting for baby sister Terry to be born!!!

This quilt was a lot of fun to make, I loved the fabric and especially since it all came in a fat quarter bundle so I didn't have to match anything!

This was my first attempt at machine quilting a quilt and it was not as bad as I thought it would be... just as long as no one gets up close and personal with the stitches!
Here's the back where you can better see the quilting pattern... I used mostly stippling, but did some straight lines in the purple sashing.  Heres a close up:
I used better quality batting and I LOVE how much better it turned out!  I have tried other times to get that soft crinkly look right out of the dryer and usually they just end up stiff!  So excited that everything worked this time!   Now just waiting for the new girl to be born so we can enjoy her!

Abbey, I am so impressed with your quilt...it turned out so darn cute!! I made a quilt for baby Kate but I haven't finished it off yet because I want to machine quilt it but I'm scared of it turning out horrible! I'll need to get some tippers from you.
