Domican Republic! - The Temple

Adam's parents offices are in the MTC which is on the temple grounds.  Up until a few months ago they were actually living in the MTC, but with all the new missionaries going out, they needed the extra room so they got an apartment just a block away.   Adam and I took advantage of having Grandma to watch Charlie and Adella and attended a session at the temple.

We also went to church at the MTC on Sunday and since Charlie and Adella were the only nursery kids, we held nursery outside!

Charlie and Adella were so excited to be able to run around and explore, since there were no cars coming in or out, we just pretty much let them go and followed them around!

"I'll go inside someday"
These fan palm trees were pretty neat!
Our best family photo! They were NOT in the mood to be held and tied down!
But when we tried to get a pic of just Adam and I, Charlie just ran around in circles around us!
We tried one more time, sitting.  Didn't work so great either
Adam's eyes were closed in EVERY single one we took!

We went back to pick up Grandpa another day and Charlie and Adella loved playing on the grass again!

And climbing up the steps to Grandpa's office
Such a wonderful place to be!

Dominican Republic! - Aquarium

There's a small little aquarium not too far from the caves that we checked out.

The turtle may have been one of the best things to look at!

There were mostly just a lot of fish in tanks and Charlie and Adella were not buying it.  It was interesting to look at and see some of the ones I had seen snorkeling, and there were also some pretty interesting creatures.  Charlie and Adella definitely did like seeing a big shark though, Charlie kept pointing and laughing at it as it swam bye.  It even swam right up to the glass where we were standing and looked at them!

The best part of the aquarium was really all the open area to go play in! Adella was in Heaven!  Charlie strangely enough just stood in one spot for a long time.  So not like him!
There were a few iguana's laying around

They also had a cute little playground area

They both loved this colorful sign

Adella actually smiled on the swing!

I would have gladly paid the 50 pesos or whatever ridiculously cheap amount it was to get into the aquarium just to let these kids run around!
