Peaches!

Adam's grandparents brought us a LOT of peaches so I spent one morning canning with the help of a friend.  So excited to have fresh peaches!

HA! (HAT!)

Charlie has started to get VERY vocal.  He's downright loud actually.  But he's starting to associate real words with real things more and more.   Most recently it has been Ba (Ball) and Ha (hat).  The first time he said hat he actually had found this hat laying around, picked it up, brought it to me and said HA!  Love it!

On a side note a friend in our ward let us borrow this play structure for the summer as long as we kept it inside.  Charlie and Adella love playing on it and hiding in the little house underneath the slide.  But I have the hardest time getting any good pictures!  The lighting is really bad and they are always moving so everything is a blurry mess!

Practicing for Nursery

Since Charlie and Adella loved their table and chairs at Grandma and Grandpa's so much we went right out and got one for them to use at home.  We have been spending a lot of time practicing on this table for nursery.  They are still a few weeks away, but Adam has been taking them in the last few weeks now that I have a new calling (Primary Chorister!) and can't chase them around the last two hours.

They eat their snacks there and we also do puzzles and some other activities at the table.

Sunday Fun Version 5.26.13

Charlie and Adella got new church clothes in the Dominican Republic and I was so excited to put them on them!  I thought they might be way too big, but they actually weren't bad (well except Charlie's shorts.. they were ridiculously big but so is every other pair he has so I took a safety pin to them and cinched them up!)

Adella has started to become a girly girl and actually really likes to put on frilly, pretty things.  She gets excited when we pick out dresses and fluffy skirts!

And this kid is still a LOUD typical boy!

Happy Birthday to me!

Since we had returned home from our trip on the very early morning of my birthday, we didn't have much planned.  Luckily I had completely cleaned the whole house before we left and we did our laundry before we came home so I didn't have ANY chores to do!   Best birthday gift ever!   We had to go shopping of course and restock up on the necessities.   I had actually planned perfectly to have milk still at home that wouldn't be expired when we returned so we wouldn't need to rush to the store, however since we ended up staying 3 additional days in the DR my plan was FOILED.

Adam ran out that morning and grabbed milk, as well as my favorite morning pastry- Donuts from Lamars!

In the afternoon we attempted to go on a date, Charlie and Adella weren't super happy kids (can't blame them really) but some good friends offered to watch them so we took advantage.

This was pretty much the view we had most of the day

We went to BJ's of course so I could get my birthday pizookie!

We were only able to eat dinner before we got a text that Adella wouldn't stop crying.  Luckily we were just paying our bill so rather than going to  Dave and Busters to play we just went back home.  Although it was low key, it was actually pretty perfect considering we had just spent 10 days on the go!

While we were shopping that day at Costco, we found they had a bike trailer/jogging stroller that had been reduced in price.  Since I had some Birthday money that was a burning a hole in my pocket for a whole 8 hours I decided to get it! Memorial day was absolutely beautiful so I took it out for a jog and had some super sleepy companions!
