Texas Roadhouse

We went to Texas Roadhouse on Saturday before father's day with some friends.  Charlie and Adella weren't really all that thrilled about sitting in the saddle.

I think I have the two most scaredy cat kids!  We somehow managed to survive dinner with 3 children under the age of 18 months, that my friends is an accomplishment.  Also Charlie learned a new word!  YEEHAW!   At Texas Roadhouse they don't sing to you on your birthday they just get everyone to yell YEEHAW.  Well, the first time they did it while we were there was clear across the restaurant, but Charlie heard it and quickly mimicked.  Then there were SEVERAL birthdays close by us, and everytime Charlie would mimick YEE HAW!   It's pretty cute, he doesn't say it loud and its always YEE   HAW (with a pause in the middle).

FHE: Monday June 10

Sometimes as I'm finishing up dinner clean up I can hear lots and lots of giggles.  Usually that means Adam has found some new way to entertain Charlie and Adella.  This time it was throwing wood stacking rings in the air.  OK, not really the safest thing, but they only get to play with that toy supervised anyway!

It seems Adam would stack the rings, then Charlie and Adella would knock them over and laugh and laugh and laugh!

Taking a break for singing time!  "Popcorn Popping!"   Both Adella and Charlie will mimic the popcorn popping.  So cute!

Life in an instant

I often can't find my camera, or am away from home and so I rely on my phone, which as I've mentioned isn't awesome, but it still captures life and memories!  So here are my camera picks from last week.  Most of these were also on instagram if you follow me there.

Charlie fell DEAD asleep at lunch.  He's never ever done that.   He was also sitting straight up.  Yeah, naps came a little earlier that day!
We finally played at the play area in the mall.  With the crazy heat I just had to find a way to get these guys out of the house.  It's serious torture if we have no where to go for the day!  They weren't really too sure about all of it.  There were lots of kids (and LOTS of big kids that had no business being in there, seriously whose parents let there 10 and 11 years olds run like crazy people in these areas!) and Adella especially got really nervous.
I made a new church bag!  LOTS of cutting
And LOTS of ironing on interfacing

But the results were worth it!  I love it!  It's seriously HUGE, I mean HUGE.  Like bigger than my diaper bag HUGE (which my diaper bag is HUGE).
But it's reversible, with lots of pockets and I can huck all kinds of props for singing time in there!  I even put a full percussion section in it this week (drum, maracas, tambourine and a few other fun things)

Speaking of church, these kids fell asleep on the way home of course.  They play so hard in nursery and church is over way after there nap time.  Poor things are so exhausted!
This is super blurry, but sometimes I am just amazed that these two ever sit still, and that they will sit still in the same place at the same time!

Sunday Fun Version 6.9.13

Happy before church (now after, that's a whole other story!)

After dinner Adam thought it would be a good idea to give them their first Popsicle.   They were completely unsure about it at first.

And Charlie kept getting super mad because he would pick up the Popsicle part rather than the handle and he didn't like how cold it was!

Eventually they figured out it was delicious and were super annoyed when we tried to take them away before they were finished.

Soda Stream House Party

I was lucky enough to receive a FREE Soda Stream from House Party.com.  This is my 3rd house party and we were so excited to try the Soda Stream!

I always love when the box with a bright green sticker shows up!!!!!
All set up and ready to party!
We were given the Soda Stream machine, 3 plastic bottles, 3 full size containers of syrup and 18 individual (makes 1 liter) containers of syrup.  Lots of sample cups, visors, a beach ball chalk, waterballons and probably more stuff that I'm forgetting about!
The Soda Stream was very fun to use!  Some of the syrups honestly weren't all that awesome, but others were pretty good.  We ended up having a lot of people cancel right at the last minute so we didn't get to go through most of our samples so we have a long way to go testing them out.  We plan to take this baby to a few more parties this summer to share the love!   I'm really excited to try making my own Italian Sodas with it!

The group picture is pretty dark (I even lightened it).  We had to do the party inside since it was oh like 110 degrees.  I set the camera on the counter and put the timer on and the flash pretty much flashed the counter only.

Super fun House Party!  Hopefully we get to keep doing them!!
