Sunday Fun Version 7.7.13
On Sunday we headed to Matt and Alisa's for a family dinner. It had been so long since we saw them as well as Isaac and Julie.
First things first, I had to show Adella where all the toys were. She was in heaven when I found her a stroller to push. Pretty soon all the girls had something to push around and it was just too cute! So good that Maryn had exactly 3 carts and was willing to share with her cousins!

I mean really, how cute are they!
I knew Charlie would love to be outside with the boys, plus there were pigs running around! What boy wouldn't love that!
Brycen was being a great cousin and instructing Charlie just how to deal with the pigs.
I really wish I had gotten a picture of all of them eating together at their little table. It was so cute. They shared food and only had one minor mishap when someones kid got a hold of a cup a water and dumped it everywhere. Um.. don't know whose kid that would have been... And to that my classic line "We're working on it!"

Baby you're (not a fan) of fireworks
I'm probably the only lame mom that didn't dress our kids up in red white and blue. We also didn't attend a parade or any other patriotic holiday activity. And we may have put on the lamest fireworks show. Ever.
And big surprise, our kids weren't big fans.
Sigh. So maybe we didn't dress the part or act the part of being patriotic. But at the end of the day, we had played together as a family, ate meals together as a family and prayed together as a family. We thanked our Heavenly Father for this wonderful country we live in where we CAN do all of those things. And that my friends is what it's all about.

I have lots of pictures of them not even looking
Charlie actually kinda liked this one, but all it did was flash - nothing shooting up in the air. Which I should note that none of these went higher than a few feet.
We tried to get a better shot by moving them to the grass. Still not fans, you'll see where Adella started when this firework was lit.
And this is where she ended up

Boxcar kids
Sometimes boxes make perfect cars - just need a little engine support from daddy to get moving.
I seriously love the pure joy on their faces. I mean, how could life get any better!
Standing on our head is a necessary cool down
As is laying on the floor

Tent revisted
Sometimes I forget the really simple things that can make a kid super happy. Out of options one day I remembered something! TENT!!! We haven't done that in months! I set to work rearranging some furniture and sticking up some blankets and bought myself a few minutes of happy kids!
They were running around in a circle so fast chasing each other that I guess I never got a picture of Adella from the front! I guess that just proves they were having fun!
