Sunday Fun Version 10.20.13
It's getting increasingly difficult to get decent pictures of these two! They are just fun little explorers! The funny thing is I brought them outside a good 10-15 minutes before we need to leave for church (and still get there early). But they played for like 2 minutes and then decided they were ready to get in the car!
This pic demonstrates Charlie's LOVE of cars! He just LOVES them! Everything with wheels that moves is a car car. And if he's close enough to touch, he ALWAYS goes for the wheels!

Laughs
Laughter is really the best. It seriously makes everything worth it and the crazy of the day just melt away sometimes! There is really nothing that can compare to giggles from your kids! And there seems to be something extra special about them making each other laugh.
One day I heard them giggling like crazy in their room. I was sure they were up to no good. But when I came in this is all I saw!
Adella was behind the chair. I'm really not sure what was so funny - but they were happy and that's what matters!

On being Mom
Do you ever do things as a Mom that seem like a "Fun Idea", or the start of a "FUN" new tradition - but in the back of your mind you KNOW it's a bad idea and your kids are SOOO not ready for it yet? Well I had one of those moments last week. Adam would have NEVER let me do what I did, and I knew I shouldn't either but I did it anyway!
I took Charlie and Adella to get flu shots and decided that we should get a treat after. These kids. I was prepared for crying and lots of tears. NOTHING! Seriously, Charlie flinched a bit and Adella was annoyed by the band aid but they really acted like nothing happened. But I decided we needed a treat anyway - OK really I just wanted to get a strawberry limeade. So to Sonic we went and you know what I did? I bought them a slush. Their OWN slush. And gave it to them. IN THE CAR. Insane right?
Well Adella had no problems, didn't spill or drop it or anything. Charlie on the other hand. Oh that kid! He pulled the straw out and couldn't get it back in and of course I hit EVERY green light so I couldn't turn around to help. He kept screaming and yelling and getting more and more frustrated. He finally did get it back in and I thought everything was fine till I heard a thud. Yep, that's right slushie on the floor! I reached back and grabbed it trying to minimize the damage. When I retrieved it the lid was completely mangled and would not go on. Upon further inspection when I got home, he had got the straw in but it was also badly mangled and would no longer function. Not only that but he had punctured it through the side of the cup. So he was also covered in slushie! Seriously, what was I thinking?
When we got home, I split up part of the slush into their smoothie cups and sent them outside. Much safer. But in the end they hardly even drank any of it!
Adella thought I needed a slushie kiss!

Oregon Fall 2013
We made a last minute quick trip to Ontario to celebrate my Grandpa's 90th birthday! Who by the way went GOLFING on his birthday! While we were there he took the grandsons AND great grandsons golfing - how many 90 year old grandpa's can do that? To be honest, I did not take nearly enough pictures. There always seemed to be SOOO many people around and I'm just too distracted!
First off though, these two thought they should be driving the rental car.

As soon as we got to Great Grandma's the most important thing to do was go outside of course!
Charlie and Grandpa wasted no time having a tickling fest.
He got down after a bit needing a break
But then came right back for more!
At the party, you think these two like each other???
We tried to convince them to eat, but weren't very successful!
They were more interested in playing with Grandma, Grandpa and daddy.
All they really wanted to do was play outside, and Grandpa and daddy obliged for awhile, but as it got cold and dark, we had to find other things to entertain. Luckily these random hula hoops did the trick!
Also staying at Great Grandma and Grandpa's were some fun dogs - you can't see them in the picture because they ran away, but that's why Charlie is under the table. He just loved watching those little dogs!
And Adella learned how to give a baby doll a bottle. So cute - until she dropped the poor thing on it's head!
That's pretty much it! I didn't even get any pictures of my Grandparents, but seriously, it was a made house the whole weekend with two parties, lots of visitors and just so much going on! We sure did enjoy seeing all our family!
