Sunday Fun Version 11.11.12

Whew, I'm really far behind!   I've been spending just about every free moment I have preparing for our family pictures (that we took last week) and Young Women in Excellence (TOMORROW!).   And while I do have a few posts I need to get up, honestly I don't think I've taken as many pictures as normal the last couple of weeks.  Though I didn't take many, I'm super excited for all the pics that Rachel took of our family and can't wait to share those when they are ready!

So here we go with where we left off.   Sunday the 11th my parents left.  It was so so fun having them and my sister here!   Charlie and Adella were spoiled with attention.

Kena thought Charlie need a Rasta hat

It's quite impossible to get a picture of my dad with both babies and have all of them look at the camera. Everytime the babies would look at us, my dad was looking at them!
This picture cracks me up because it pretty much sums up the weekend with Charlie and Grandpa.  Charlie adored my dad.  No one has ever made that kid giggle like my dad.   When Charlie was born we had the hardest time deciding who he looked like at first, and finally realized he looked like my dad.  So only fitting that these two would have such a special bond.

When Grandma and Grandpa come to visit!

My parents along with my sister came to visit the weekend before last.  It was so great to have them all here!  Charlie and Adella were spoiled with constant attention!

We spent a lot of time outdoors, including going for walks and also a trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens.   Charlie and Adella are really good troopers when it comes to going on outings.  I am very lucky that I can take them almost anywhere and as long as it doesn't interrupt nap time or meal time we are all happy! I know that eventually it won't be like that, but for now its great!

Afterwards we went to Papago Park for a picnic.

Grandma had fun trying to corral to kids at once

Grandma and Grandpa with Charlie and Adella!
Charlie was pretty smitten by Grandpa.   We went for a walk shortly after they arrived and Charlie laughed hysterically the whole time.  He's usually harder to make laugh, unless you tickle him.  Just something about Grandpa made him giggle like crazy!

Indestructable

Charlie and Adella like books.  But mostly they like to EAT books.   Pretty much paper in general is very fun to stick in our mouths around here (OK, well Adella will stick ANYTHING in her mouth).  So I came across these books called Indestructables.  You can try to tear them, bite them, whatever and they don't rip!   Perfect for my kids!  They are very colorful and feel very much like paper.   Charlie and Adella went crazy over them!

If they get bent, you can just flatten them back out by putting them under a stack of heavy books.

Eventually they were done though, at the exact same time of course.  What else would you expect from twins?

Kneeling

I think these pictures got skipped over, at least I couldn't find a post about it, so if it's a repeat sorry!  I use this blog to help me remember the funny things my kids do so I need to get it down here anyway!

As you know both Charlie and Adella are moving around like crazy - and they both started crawling before they began to put themselves into a sitting position.   Charlie eventually picked up on the sitting part, but Adella still hasn't.  Instead she kneels.   Its pretty cute!

I think she does this because when they started to pull themselves into a standing position, Adella would get stuck and couldn't figure out how to get down.  She would get pretty terrified and would try but just couldn't quite get it.  Instead of just always helping her down, each time we would try to bend her knees and show her how to kneel down (Charlie would just fall back onto his bum).
Yep, she's cute!

Sunday Fun Version 11.4.12

Someone was COMPLETELY worn out from church

She didn't even move when the camera flashed.   That's just not normal for her!  She tends to be a somewhat light sleeper, especially during nap times.

The ruffle leggings kill me!

Mr. Handsome!

Best smile ever!
Such a boy!
