Blocks- a lifesaver
As we prepared for Oregon/Idaho I didn't take too many pictures leading up to the trip. But the night before we left Charlie and Adella were on one. Both woke up so incredibly cranky from their naps and Adam had a doctor appointment right after work which left me on my own for an extra hour. Desperate times mean it's time to break out the toy that was stowed away until such a situation occurred To my great luck it TOTALLY worked! Charlie and Adella got these blocks for their birthday, I knew at the time they wouldn't understand how they worked and I would just have blocks all over the house so I hid them away. We headed to their room, I closed the door (so no blocks could escape) and dumped out the bag. Cries instantly gone! We happily played together for a good 45 minutes -mostly I built structures that they took apart. They concentrated very hard on them though! I've dug them out on a couple other times now and they love them. I think for now I'm gonna keep them stashed away so they are an occasional thing they get excited about - especially until they figure out how to really use them!
Catching Up: Project LIfe Week 14
I'm a little behind. Preparing for our trip, going on our trip and recovering from our trip got me all off of schedule! But I'm hoping to get back in gear. So here is Week 14 of my Project Life Spreads!

Sunday Fun Version 4.7.13
After Conference we headed over to the Halls for dinner. Charlie and Adella loved playing outside of course! Charlie is always in Heaven, but Adella is usually more reserved. It did take her awhile but once her cousin Maryn showed up and demonstrated the proper way to twirl and jump around outside, Adella was IN!
I know there are going to be some fun times ahead for these cousins!
Charlie of course was mostly obsessed with the dirt and trying to get into Grandma and Grandpa's garden. Typical boy.
Adam got a grapefruit to distract him from the garden and Brycen had fun rolling it on the grass for Charlie to go chase.
After the Hall's we headed over for fun with the Button family at the Carpenter's house. There were lots of bigger kids running around there and more opportunities to get injured, so we tried to keep them off the play area for the most part. We found these little chairs and they thought they were pretty cool stuff sitting in them.

Ready or NOT
I was feeding Charlie and Adella some baby food from a jar. We still have a few hanging around that I got for super cheap, and since they aren't the biggest meat eaters and there was meat in these I decided to give it a shot and see if they would eat some. Well, they actually did! And of course were obsessed with the spoons by the end. Lately we haven't been spoon feeding them much so I thought, well MAYBE they might be able to KINDA be able to use a spoon, or at least try. So I put the last little remnants in a couple plastic bowls and let them have at it.
As you can see they are NOT ready for it.
Oh well, they had fun and thank goodness it was bath night.

Favorite Part of Conference
Charlie and Adella's favorite part of General Conference was definitely the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Every time they started singing, they would stop what they were doing and go over to the TV and just stand there and stare. Guess they have good choice in music!
And just because it cracks me up, here's a little gem from Adella
