July 21-27

Since it was HOT HOT HOT last week, I tried to venture out of my comfort zone a bit and get a bit creative with our fun time.  I set up this super tiny homemade water table for them to play with.  They loved it and will never know the difference from a super awesome water table!

I also let them 'paint' in the tub.  I was hoping it would buy me enough time to feed Marilee, but it ended up causing more trouble than it was worth!  My kids both have issues with being messy, so they hated having this stuff on their hands, legs, and wherever else it would fall!   I think next time I need to just splurge for the bathtub crayons!
Sweet girl is still 100% tube fed right now - we are talking very seriously about getting a g-tube.  I think at this point it's our best option for her to be able to get over her oral aversion.  No one likes to take their tiny baby for surgery, but we are at a complete loss of what else to do at this point.  Hopefully the g-tube will only make a short stay!
We discovered Adella has a thing for the stage!  She may be tiny, but she loved it! (Up there on the left of the stage in the pink shirt)  Charlie wanted NOTHING to do with going up there to play an instrument.  He did give Adella a great big hug when she came back and said "Good job Adella!"  I love that he is supportive of her already!  I have a feeling he may be sitting through many a performance in the future!
They still love to race!

I'm amazed at times that she can fall asleep around so much chaos!  This is in the middle of the living room floor with her brother and sister running all around and screaming!
Some nights just require cuddles
Charlie and Adella helped me make Adam's birthday treat.  He's not a cake fan, would prefer ice cream to most anything, but does love cookies so we made a cookie ice cream cake!  These guys loved tasting the cookie dough!  I'm pretty sure that's their first time having the actual dough!  They did so good at sharing back and forth too.

Saturday morning cousins came to play!  And they played hard!  They all ate super good at lunch because they worked up such an appetite!  I love that they sat boys on one side, girls on the other and then are lined up by age!  Made taking a picture easier with the taller ones in the back!
the living room was quite destructive.   This isn't really even a good view of what it looked like.  Just proof that fun happened!  And they were all pretty good about helping clean up when we were done.

Saturday night we went to a ward Pioneer Day party.  Adella had a BLAST dancing with daddy!

I know this pic is blurry but she moved so fast, this is just what happened!  She was having so much fun on the stage at church!  She would come out from behind the curtains and yell "TADA!""  Then go back and do it all over again.  So adorable.

After church on Sunday
I made Adella a new dress and had to get some pics of it.  She LOVED it, which I was worried about since it wasn't predominately pink!

It's perfectly twirlable which is mighty important for a 2 year old!

After Sunday naps we went to Mesa to celebrate Adam's birthday with the family.   We had a yummy dinner and capped it off with another Adam approved dessert, Cheesecake!
Three bity baby cousins all lined up by age!   Mykenna was born in December, Marilee march and Camber in April.

And 10 out of the 12 cousins all lined up together- I couldn't get a shot from above as my camera angle wouldn't allow it, so this is the best I could get!  Hopefully I can steal a pic from one of my SIL's.

July 14-20

The thing about kids is, they don't care if it's hot outside!
"I'm gonna wear daddy's shoes"

Playing at the library and catching fish!

This girl is all smiles lately.  I mean serious smiles!  We've even caught her trying to laugh!  She just kills us!

Charlie wore a GREEN tie this week! He's really branching out - and I gave him spikey hair!

It's so funny to watch them grow up and get bigger.  These towels used to drown them, now they are almost longer than the towel!

Daddy helped them build a pretty sweet fort!

An after church shot!  I love that they now can tell me all the things they do at nursery - sing songs, puzzles, snacks, play blocks, color, etc.  They love it!

One funny story this week that I don't have a pic for, I was folding up diapers one day and pointed out the spiderman one to Charlie.  He's never seen spiderman and has nothing else spiderman but after I told him his diaper was spiderman he's been going around the horse yelling SPIDERMAN!   He request that diaper often.  But the funny part was a few days ago when I was stuffing them again he grabbed and said "SPIDERMAN!  I'm gonna poop in it!"  Oh great.

July 7-13

We tried potty training again - for Charlie it was another bust, but Adella caught on pretty good.  I spent much of the first few days with this view as she was slightly obsessed with it.   She finally got over the novelty of it and is doing really good at home, away from home is a bit sketchy still!
I made some file folder games, Adella really liked them and Charlie had fun for a few minutes before moving onto play with cars.  Kid is OBSESSED!

Charlie is always asking for a tunnel for his cars, problem is they usually fall down.  I finally had the idea to turn his dump truck over and turn it into a tunnel.  Best idea ever!

Micky pancakes for the win!

Free slurpess on 7-11!

She will suck a paci- stick a bottle in her mouth and she just plays with it.  Yes, we've tried many different nipples.  She just has no interest AT ALL with eating anymore.  She doesn't scream but will not suck or swallow (though we know she can!)
Headed to Grandma's for dinner in style!

Messy hands!   I can't remember what we were eating, but she was plenty messy even though you can't really see it in the pics!
She also really loves silly faces lately!

These are for Grandma Button!

Tried to capture a pic of our family dinner - just realized that I should have moved the chair so you can actually see Marilee instead of just the very top of her head!

I had started this block project last year and finally finished them!  They love these!
