March 30-April 5

Marilee prefers to kneel rather than sit, just like Adella!

I tried a letter matching activity with Easter Eggs, it didn't quite go over as I had hoped, but they did have fun!

Adella was in love with play on the go at the library this week.  We got to 'plant' flowers so of course she was in heaven!

Marilee refused to nap, and then fell asleep on me.   

They enjoyed the splash pad so much more than last year!

Until Adella fell!  Whoops!

E is for Elephant! 

We are spending lots and lots of time outside and this one doesn't mind at all!

Adella wants to play in the water every day!

New pj's for everyone!

We went for a water play date, I mean look at this thing!  So fun!  They weren't big fans of the water coming down the slide but had lots of fun just scooping water!

Alphabet coloring puzzle distracted them for a bit during conference!

 Coloring Easter Eggs!  This was their first year doing it since last year was a bit crazy with Marilee.  They had lots of fun, Charlie only broke a few eggs.

Adella was quite the hunter.  She was crazy excited running all over to find her eggs.  Charlie on the other hand thought he needed to open as he went.  It's a good thing we had this practice run before going to Grandma & Grandpa's or he would have ended up with nothing!

She was just happy to shake and 'eat' her egg!

March 23-29

Marilee in a dress that my Grandma made for me, on a blanket my Great Grandma crocheted.  

While at the park one day, Marilee stole one of Charlie's veggie straws.  She actually did quite well with it!

They wanted to ride their bikes all the way home!  Charlie made it the whole way, Adella had to take a break for about a block

At the mall, these two were so cute.  I loved how they would run off together holding hands. So sweet!

We've been spending a lot of time outside, and this girl is so happy to just swing!!

More bike practice!  Charlie was actually really good at going down this small hill, lifting up his legs and everything!

Letter of the week was A for Adella!  We painted

Made Apple cookies!

And Adella is very into picnics.  She makes a nice spread and always invites her dolly!

March 16-23

Charlie all of a sudden got super obsessed with leggings.  But since he isn't perfect at the potty yet, he went though half a dozen pair in a day.  Luckily this obsession only lasted about a day.

We started 'preschool' at home!   I really don't know what I am doing, but they are having fun!   We started with Letter C for Charlie!   We made clouds with cotton balls.

Then cloud snacks with marshmallows, marshmallow fluff and whip cream. 

We practiced writing the letter C!  Adella was so excited!

We did caterpillar lacing.

And Caterpillar counting.

Adella wanted her picture taken again, and she wanted to be covered in pillows...

The found Charlie's first Halloween costume and decided it was a cat costume.  They've been wearing it around looking completely silly. 

Charlie and I ran errands together, just him and I!  His first order of business was to ensure we got donuts.   As we were leaving our first store I told him we had one more store to go to and he said "Oh to get more donuts!"

And Adella and I went to see Cinderella!  We had so much fun at her first movie!  She insisted on wearing a cute hat and had to have the biggest popcorn there!  

Finally, Marilee has a new obsession with hanging upside down.  I would pull her up and she would promptly fall back down. 

March 9-15

This was a rough week in our house!  In some ways I feel like we are stilling playing catch up! 

The day after Marilee's bday party, the sickness began.  Adella and Marilee woke up within minutes of each other Monday night throwing up.   It was sad sad sad.    The next day I did a LOT of laundry.  And we watched A LOT of movies.   Just when we thought it was over, bam it hit Charlie.

Then Adam.... Then eventually me.  It wasn't pretty or fun!

Adam stayed home one or two days and came home early the others.   We had lots of extra cuddles!

As the week was ending and we started to feel better, well at least Adella did but you can see she is rocking super fun hair- sure sign mom still has no energy!  She found a capri sun and when I wouldn't put the straw in for her, she did it herself.  I decided if she could figure it out on her own she deserved it!  I mean, even I still have a hard time with those!

She loves finding daddy's mask and wearing it and insisted I take a picture. 

Of course Charlie wanted in on it too!

And then she wanted a picture of the three of them. 

We ended the week at a birthday party.  I still felt awful and wanted to leave, but these kids HAD to stick around for cake so there we were, for 3 glorious hours!  The only bonus was I didn't have to make dinner!
